CALL – MOSAIC ON PAPER in BLA (BIENNAL THE LATITUDE OF ART 7th edition)

For several editions now, MOSAIC ON PAPER has accompanied the biennial Le Latitudes of Art. A well-established partnership that has transformed a visionary idea into a collective installation of international scope, capable of landing in the greatest capitals of culture.
On the occasion of the 7th biennial, to be held in Genoa at the Galata Museo del Mare, and which will see artistic exchange between Italy and France, Art Commission officially opens the selections for the collective installation inspired by the theme of the exhibition: ARTS NOMADISMS LANGUAGES
The choice pays tribute to the thought of Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995), among the most influential French philosophers of the 20th century.
Deleuze interprets the creative act as pure experimentation beyond the standardization of the gaze. Here, nomadism is understood not as mere displacement, but as a critical posture: the ability of art to escape the striated space of boundaries and definitions to inhabit the smooth space of freedom.
Rejecting the hierarchical logic of the “root,” the biennial develops like a rhizome: a system of horizontal and infinite connections that makes heterogeneous media and cultures dialogue without ever fixing itself in a definitive or reassuring form.
To inhabit nomadism is to practice deterritorialization: to wrest matter and language from common use in order to draw a creative line of flight. The viewer is invited to become nomadic, getting lost among tactile intensities and visual drifts, discovering a plurality of languages that, between the two shores of the Mediterranean, flow freely and unclassifiably.
THE SETTING: THE GALATA MUSEUM OF THE SEA
The 7th edition of BLA and the Mosaic on Paper installation will be hosted in the prestigious spaces of the GALATA MUSEUM OF THE SEA in Genoa.
- Exhibition period: July 3-September 6, 2026
- Opening: July 3, 2026, 6:30 p.m.
HOW TO APPLY (By March 30, 2026)
Photographic reproductions of works of various techniques (Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Video-frame and Digital Art) are allowed.
Technical specifications:
- Square cut (20×20 cm).
- Minimum resolution: 300 dpi.

Participation fee: €100 (payable only post-selection). Fee includes: production of the multiple on fine art paper, “Artist’s Multiples” certificate, exhibition registration, listing on the project website www.mosaiconpaper.com,international promotion and sale, a copy of the Biennale catalog with the page dedicated to the group installation Mosaic on Paper.

Participation fee: 90 € (with new work) Fee includes: production of the multiple on fine art paper, certificate “Multipli d’Artista”, exhibition registration, listing on the project website www.mosaiconpaper.com,international promotion and sale, a copy of the Biennale catalog with the page dedicated to the group installation Mosaic on Paper.
